Biography of John Spurgeon

John was baptised 15 November 1674 at Loddon, Norfolk.

He married Dorothy in 1701, and they had 6 children: John, Mary, Frances, William, Francis & Bridget. Dorothy died in 1714 after giving birth to twins who were buried 11 days before her death. He remarried a widow Lettice French on 24 June 1716, and they had a son Robert.

John was the churchwarden at Bracon Ash and made entries in the Parish Register from 1719.

He died on 20 November 1731 age 57, and was buried at Bracon Ash.
