Research chamber dive at DDRC for PhD student Graham Samson - investigation into effects of N₂ narcosis on mental skills - mental arithmetic, word list memory. We did the 'quick' descent to 36m - air became very hot! Also needed to pop ears a lot on both descent & ascent. Got quite chilly on ascent - & foggy! Not sure how good my mental abilities were, but good fun & interesting to see the extensive facilities - mostly for medical purposes.
