Dive 112, Devils Point, Plymouth, England, 27/10/2007

In 06:48, dive time 30 minutes, max depth 18.6 metres.

With Martin & Trotsky - but Firestone Bay (where we planned to dive) is v. low vis. So park near Devil's Point, with high tide at 0705 & plan a drift dive along the wall - drift N. into river, then back to entry point down steps. Very high tide. Exhausted by walk to entry in full gear (& previous nights vomiting & diarhea & body pump), so I'm using lots of air, & can't get down at first. Then ok & enjoy jewel anemones, velvet & edible crabs, prawns, shredded carrot sponges (also a lot of fishing lines & junk). Difficult to control position & buoyancy in wall drift current - I use lots of energy & air swimming back to wall. And lose control at the end, surfacing too quick & before the others. Good experience. I'm soaked in sweat after walk back, & sleep all day!
