Dive 28, Breakwater, Plymouth, England, 31/08/2005

In 19:12, dive time 31 minutes, max depth 12.1 metres.

Shagstone Rock original destination, but force 4-5, so Doug suggests inside breakwater, which is very calm. Dive with Fraser (rescue diver) & Paul (open water). Very good practice - sandy bottom, see several spider crabs & edible crab, white starfish, lots of very small hermit crabs running around, & sea fans in worm holes. Also a couple of anemonies on the only rocks. Practice navigation - swim east, then return west. Practice using my SMB - kneel on bottom, hold it free while Fraser inflates with secondary. Practice slow ascent & 3 minute safety stop on SMB line. New mask & snorkel very good - no leaks, slight squeeze, good all round vision. And good buddies.
