Dive 68, Breakwater, Plymouth, England, 18/09/2006

Dark sky & windy, so Brian takes our SeaSearch group next to the breakwater - also need to keep clear of sub. & other naval activities! Drop down to muddy bottom, rather murky too. Fiddle with camera & torch, lose buoyancy & surface again! Drop down, find Sally, settle down & look for life. Quite a lot on rocks, but not much on the mud. See large (5cm) solitary pink sea squirt, legs (bright red) of a well-hidden squat lobster, lots of dragonets, gobies & goldsinny. Also velvet swimming crab, many small devonshire cup-corals, one myxicola. Fun looking - but tricky to photo as low vis.
