Biography of Robert High

Also known as Robert Hie. Born on 30 September 1754 in Acle, Norfolk, and baptised age 5 on 17 December 1759.

He married Jane Waller by banns on 10 January 1775 at St John's church, Reedham. They had 10 children; the youngest was James High.

Ten years after Jane Waller's death Robert, age 54, married Mary Garff, age 19, on 8 August 1809 (see also transcript). A couple of months before their marriage they had a daughter, Mary Ann High, recorded on the opposite page of the transcript. They had 4 sons after their marriage.

Robert was buried in Reedham on 23 November 1834, age 80.
