Dive 106, Glen Strathallen, Plymouth, England, 29/07/2007

In 18:08, dive time 12 minutes, max depth 17.5 metres.

Second Rescue Diver boat dive - scenario to search for 2 missing divers (20 minutes after they dived). Abi & I go down shot to boiler, I tie line to shot 2m above floor, & we start a line search. See Henrik (AOW student from Germany) with leg trapped & sharing air with Steve. I check Henrik's air (wrong!), then remove fin & free him - leg is broken. Get Steve to link arms with Henrik & ascend. At surface get buoyant, signal for help (don't stop till acknowledged!) & remove weight belt & BCD. Sit him on lift. In boat Henrik stops breathing, so O₂ & keep warm & lift to stretcher & fill in primary assessment & monitor. Lots to do under stress - but we did better than previous dive.

Lift not working for man overboard scenario on way back after #106 - do roll-up for victim, then Abi gets thrown back in, & then myself! Exhausted, but we've passed! Lots more to learn.
