Dive 156, James Egan Layne, Plymouth, England, 10/01/2009

With Jeff on his boat "Starlight" & friends Martin, John & Dave (not diving - skippered while Jeff dived). Crisp frosty morning, little wind, hazy sun, low tide. Choppy at JEL, drop to bottom & swim north from stern toward bow along east side - lots of starfish, anemones, devon cup-coral, dahlia anemones, bib, pink sea fans, dead mens fingers. Very enjoyable. At 80 bar I pack away camera but lose buoyancy & make too quick ascent from ~12m with no SMB :(. Surface now rough with SW wind - I fall back into sea from ladder 3 or 4 times - 1st time strains right calf (like cramp) - rather painful for rest of day. And cut nose! No second dive - glad to get back home! But fun!
