Dive 19, Tinkers Shoal, Plymouth, England, 20/06/2005

In 19:13, dive time 30 minutes, max depth 9.8 metres.

Lovely calm sunny evening. Dive buddy Chris (young marine), Alex dive mistress, Brian instructor. Descent down line - not enough weight - added 2 rocks (4 kg). Kick cycle swim along 30m lines - 21 out, 33 back - small tidal flow. Then compass out & back, but lost buoyancy control while looking at bearing - got lost, but used tidal flow to return (a bit lucky!). The navigation square ok, & time to look around. Saw large jelly fish, & very small baby one. Lots of wrasse in among the kelp. Kicked up some bottom sediment! First dive in all new gear (except BCD) including computer - proud of 3min safety stop at 5m. Weight belt slipped around. Very enjoyable! First of 5 dives towards PADI Advanced Open Water.
