Map Previous Next England dive map England dive listWreck dive: torpedoed Liberty boat in Whitsands Bay, Cornwall. Followed line down to bow, then inside hull between vertical iron beams among boat sections - lots of fish & plant life: pretty white anemonies, dead mans fingers, shoal of bibbed cod, spider crab, wrasse, pollack. Lots of remains of ships cargo, including whole wagon wheels! Into several chambers closed overhead, with ladders. Good buoyancy control in wreck, but lost weight during safety stop. Also rather low on air - surfaced with 40 bar - remainder used while on surface waiting for boat (Doug). Quite large waves/swell on surface - very calm in wreck, but some current outside. Ascent with Colin (instructor, aka 'Sharkbite') & group (including Chris & Neil). Maybe 15 litre tank will help with air & weight? Left ear sinus problems later - blocked?
