Dive 22, Mew Stone, Wembury, England, 30/06/2005

In 19:50, dive time 28 minutes, max depth 10 metres.

Too rough for PADI Advanced deep dive, so boat dive instead. 12kg not enough to get down - 1kg extra in pocket, even though 15l cylinder. Lots of kelp, sandy ridges, very small transparent fish, large dog-fish, shark-like, blue grey, large crab, very pretty. Practised suing delayed SMB before ascent - couldn't release clip from BCD, but buddy did. Didn't put enough air - with wet suit, inflate from BCD to maintain buoyancy. Clipped to left of BCD - wrong - tangles with BCD controls! Slow ascent, but then dropped down again - lost left fin trying to get off bottom, I think, but didn't notice :-(. Ascended to 5m stop, but again lost buoyancy control & came to surface - very rough return trip! PS Tie short lanyard to SMB, so can tie to wreck, etc.
