Dive 38, Santa Maria Caves, Comino, Malta, 24/09/2005

In 13:20, dive time 64 minutes, max depth 12.6 metres.

Drop to sandy bottom & feed fish on bread - instantly surrounded by hundreds of bream (Annula & Cow Bream) - fantastic. Then swim to cavern & up into "Count of Monte Cristo" cave where film/treasure was found. Then down & through to reef - followed by bream all the way. Loads of fish everywhere - wonderful. Saw parrot fish, octopus, purple nudibranch. Very enjoyable dive. Into several caves - no torch, as my BCD button vanished. As usual, fireworms everywhere. Long limbed starfish are very red. Another nudibranch (purple). Site S. of Ghemieri Point, just east of Santa Maria Bay.
