Dive 47, Neptune Reef, Kas, Turkey, 16/04/2006

In 15:00, dive time 35 minutes, max depth 19.5 metres.

Large dive bost, giant stride entry near shore. Bottom dirty rocks. Lots of translucent comb jellies & small rectangular plankton-like objects. Dive with Irina & Omar - discover camera & computer 1 hour behind Turkish time! Lots of broken amphora & some intact. Large octopus watching us from a hole, reluctant to emerge. Some fire worms, also pretty sea fans & lots of the usual fish (cuckoo & rainbow wrasse), some quite large. When nearly back at boat see a beautiful twisty sparkling spiral structure with small black slightly hooked 'eggs' in the sun - fantastic, but what is it? Some black worms & orange-red starfish too. A bit low on air near end, but only a safety stop - and a spare reg-cylinder nearby but not needed. Irina enjoyed it too! €40 for two.
