Dive 50, Mew Stone, Wembury, England, 30/04/2006

First SeaSearch dive, with Richard, from small rib, with Sally Sharrock & 7 others. Dropped down shot into kelp forest - Richard had problems clearing mask, due to hood under side - sorted. Then very slow swim through & above kelp - lots to see & record on slate! It's like our eyes have been opened & we see 2 spot goby (1cm), spiny starfish (lots), 1cm cushion star, sleeping dogfish (30cm), elephant ear sponge, small topshells, cotton spinner (sea cucumber) & droppings, pollack, maybe barbel. Swim very slow, forgot to breath/check air for a while - very relaxing! Richard's SMB tangles on reel - try to free it, cut it, retry, tangles while reeling in, so just wind by hand. Difficult to get into rib - hauled in on stomach!
