Biography of Henry George Spurgeon

Born on 13 July 1885 and baptised on 12 February 1886 while living at 29 Culvert Road, Battersea. Baptised again on 8 February 1891 together with his brother Walter, while living at 34 Millgrove Street, Battersea, London. In the 1891 census he's living with his parents Robert (35) & Sarah (33), and brothers Sidney (8) & Walter (3 months).

In 1911 he was living with his parents, 4 brothers (Charles, Walter, Arthur & Harold) & 2 sisters (Hilda & Winnie), at 63 Whitestile Road, Brentford, London, age 24, and following his father's footsteps working as an Iron Foundry Labourer.

During WWI, just before his parents and sisters emigrated to the USA, he married Sarah Watts, and a year later they had their first and only child, Linda. The family lived together in Middlesex until his death in 1952 age 67.
