Biography of Comfitt Cadywould
Born in 1689 in Wymondham, where he lived all his life.
Confitt was a cordwainer, & owned several properties in and around Wymondham (perhaps some were inherited from his father James Cadywould). He was a freeman of Norwich, by right of his father.





Comfitt's will (transcription), made on 3 February 1773, mentions his wife Mary Cadywould; daughter Lydia Spurgeon and grand-daughter Mary Spurgeon; daughter Mary Johnson & her husband James Johnson; son Thomas Badley Cadywould; deceased daughter Sarah Ellis & her husband John Ellis & their children Mary Badley Ellis, Moriscow Elizabeth Cadywould Ellis, & John Steel Ellis.
Comfitt Cadywould died on 17 January 1775 age 86; his will was proved on 3 February 1775 by his executor Thomas Badley Cadywould. Thomas died intestate on 5 February 1778; administration of his estate was granted to Thomas Badley's son William Cockell Cadywould on 21 February 1778.
