Biography of Lydia Spurgeon (nee Lydia Cadywould)

Lydia was baptised at Wymondham, Norfolk on 1 May 1720: the Parish Register transcript wrongly records her mother as Sarah (actually her grandmother Sarah Comfitt).

She married Benjamin Spugeon on 15 January 1754. Their only child Mary was born & baptised on 25 October the same year. Sadly Benjamin died the following summer.

Lydia was living at Fairland Street, Wymondham in 1773 (as mentioned in her father Comfitt Cadywould's will). Lydia died before her father, age 54, and was buried in Wymondham on 16 June 1774.
