Biography of Phoebe Alice Tooth

Born 24 Oct 1884 to James & Jane while they were stationed in Poona, Bombay, India, and baptised on 30 November 1984.

On 6 September 1905 she married Ernest Albert Daniel, Assistant Secretary in the Army Department of the Government of India, in Poona, Bombay, India. All 5 of their children were born in India.

In March 1928 Phoebe left India and sailed from Bombay to London on the P&O SS Rawalpindi, returning to 22 Ridge Road, Stroud Green, London N8 with her husband Ernest, mother Rose, and children Jack & Winifred. Her mother returned to 22 Holmesdale Gardens, Hastings.

Her daughter Phoebe married Charles Jaques Nichols in July 1928 at Edmonton, Essex. Soon after, on 14 September 1928, Phoebe's left London (30 Vallance Road, London N22) & returned alone to Bombay.

In the 1939 register she's still living at 30 Vallance Road, Wood Green, Middlesex with her husband Ernest, son Jack (20, household electrician), & daughter Winifred Powter (22, hairdresser, now married).

She died on 15 September 1952.
